Leather Jacket Size Guide
A leather jacket should sit close without pulling across the back or binding at the shoulder. Measure once, against a jacket you already wear, and you will land the right size first time. Every piece we make is cut to order, so if you fall between sizes we can cut to your measurements instead.
Men's Leather Jacket Sizing
Men's styles run XS to 3XL. The figures below are body measurements in inches, not garment measurements — we add the ease appropriate to each cut, so a biker jacket in your size sits closer than a bomber in the same size.

Women's Leather Jacket Sizing
Women's styles run XXS to 2XL and are cut closer through the waist than the men's equivalents. If you prefer a relaxed fit, or plan to layer a knit underneath, take the next size up. Body measurements in inches.

How To Measure Yourself
Use a soft tape measure over a light shirt, not over a jumper or another jacket. Keep the tape level and snug without compressing. If you can, have someone else measure your shoulders and sleeves.- Chest: around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms and across the shoulder blades. Breathe normally.
- Waist: around your natural waist, roughly where your torso narrows. Do not pull the tape tight.
- Shoulder: across the back from the bony point of one shoulder to the other — the number most people get wrong, so have someone help.
- Sleeve: from the shoulder point, down the outside of a slightly bent arm to the wrist bone.
- Length: from the base of your neck at the back, straight down to where you want the hem to finish.
The More Accurate Method: Measure A Jacket You Own
If you have a jacket that already fits the way you want, measuring it flat is more reliable than measuring your body. Lay it on a flat surface, zipped and smoothed out, and take these four numbers.- Chest: armpit to armpit across the front, then double it.
- Shoulder: seam to seam across the back, where the sleeve joins the body.
- Sleeve: shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
- Length: base of the collar straight down to the hem at the back.
If You Fall Between Sizes
Size up if:- You intend to wear a heavier knit or hoodie underneath.
- You have broader shoulders relative to your chest.
- You want a relaxed bomber or aviator silhouette.
- You prefer sleeves to sit longer over the wrist.
- You will wear it over a shirt or a light tee.
- You want the close biker or café racer fit.
- You are buying suede or lambskin, which soften and give with wear.
How The Hide Affects Fit
The same size behaves differently depending on the leather.- Cowhide: the heaviest and most structured of our hides. It holds its shape from the first wear and relaxes slowly, so take your true size rather than sizing up.
- Sheepskin: softer with more drape, and it moulds to the shoulder within a few wears. True to size works well; size up only if layering.
- Suede: lighter and more forgiving than full-grain finishes. It gives slightly with wear, so a close fit will settle rather than tighten.
- Faux leather: animal-free and lighter in weight, with less stretch than the natural hides. If you are between sizes, take the larger one.
Cut To Your Measurements
Every jacket is made to order, so a bespoke measurement set costs no extra step. Send your numbers and we will confirm the fit before anything is cut.
